Terms of Service — Money Track

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or paying for a plan, you ("user") agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. The service is operated by Money Track (sole proprietorship) ("we", "us").

2. The service

Money Track is a personal finance tracking app that lets you record wallets, transactions, goals, budgets, khata, subscriptions, assets, and view reports. We provide it on a subscription basis with a free trial.

3. Account responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping your password (and PIN, if you enable App Lock) secure.
You agree to give us accurate, current information when signing up.
You are responsible for the accuracy of finance data you enter — Money Track does not audit it.
One person per account. Sharing logins is allowed, but each account is for a single user/family unit.

4. Free trial

Every new account gets one (1) free 30-day trial. The trial is one-time per user. After the trial ends, write features pause until a paid plan is activated; read access and data export remain available.

5. Payments and billing

Paid plans are not auto-renewed. Each payment buys one cycle (6, 12, or 24 months).
Payments are processed by Razorpay. By paying, you also agree to Razorpay's terms.
Prices are in INR (₹) and include applicable GST.
A serially-numbered GST invoice (PDF) is issued for every successful payment.
Refunds are available under our Refund Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You will not:

Use the service to launder money or commit financial crimes.
Attempt to break in, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service.
Send malicious content or attempt account takeover of other users.
Scrape or programmatically copy other users' data.
Use Money Track for any unlawful purpose under Indian law.

Violations may result in account suspension or termination without refund.

7. Your data

The finance data you enter belongs to you. We act as a custodian, not an owner. You can export everything as JSON from Settings → Backup at any time. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle it.

8. Service availability

We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee 100%. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages (Razorpay, hosting, email), and force majeure can cause downtime. We are not liable for losses caused by transient unavailability.

9. Modifications to the service

We may add, change, or remove features over time. If we make a materially adverse change to a paid plan, we'll notify affected users by email at least 14 days in advance and offer a pro-rated refund for the remaining period.

10. Limitation of liability

Money Track is a tracking tool, not a financial advisor. We make no guarantees about financial outcomes. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months.

11. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, after a reasonable notice for non-critical violations and immediately for severe violations (fraud, abuse, illegal activity).

On termination, your data is deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. tax invoices for 7 years).

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the service, violation of these terms, or violation of any third party's rights.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced in-app and emailed to registered users at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms.
